About
A bit about who I am and what I've done.
I'm Yekta, a product manager based in Ankara. Before product management I worked in procurement and customer success. That left me able to look at the job from the other side of it — from the user's point of view. What I try to do now is put out products people genuinely use, rather than software that's technically correct and a chore to get through. I'll also be sharing my own projects and research on this site.
Experience
Mükellef Teknoloji — Product Manager
Sole product manager for a platform serving small businesses across three primary markets — Turkey, the US, and the UK — plus six secondary jurisdictions. Built a tax management product that replaced a manual, accountant-dependent process, and self-serve company formation tracking now used by every new customer. Designed and piloted a new pricing model, then recommended reverting when the market would not adopt it. Own product analytics in Metabase and lead the rollout of Jira Product Discovery for roadmap planning.
Evreka — Customer Success Manager
Evreka builds operations-management software and hardware for waste management companies worldwide. I managed around ten enterprise accounts across Europe and North America; every account in the portfolio renewed, and every proof of concept I owned converted into a signed contract. Translated complex customer needs into technical specifications for engineering teams and owned UAT, reducing pre-launch issues.
GE Renewable — Procurement Associate (part-time)
Managed supplier contracts, logistics, and financial operations in a global renewable energy environment. Contributed to cost reductions through negotiation and process improvement, with on-time delivery held above 90%. Used SAP and Tableau for operational tracking.

A bit personal
Outside of work, I spend most of my free time in nature — hiking, camping, and skiing whenever I get the chance. I also juggle, which surprises more people than it should. These aren't escapes from work; they're extensions of the same mindset: patience, focus, and the satisfaction of doing something well.
