SaaS Product Manager
I'm Yekta, a Product Manager based in Ankara. I help SaaS teams turn customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into shipped product outcomes. Recently I've worked across pricing, engagement, and product operations on a platform serving small businesses in Turkey, the US, and the UK — including a tax product that replaced a manual, accountant-dependent process. I am also building AI-assisted projects to sharpen how I discover, prototype, and evaluate product ideas.

My approach
The part that takes longest is the part before anyone writes code — I want to be sure I've found the root of the problem, and I want the constraints written down before I start shaping solutions, otherwise they turn up later as surprises. Then I bring a few options with their tradeoffs rather than a single recommendation, because a direction chosen from one option isn't really chosen. Once we've picked one I stay in it: engineers get the detail, everyone else gets the state of things without having to ask, and I test the build myself before it goes out. After launch I watch the numbers and stay close for longer than feels necessary — the things that break tend to break quietly.

What I focus on
Cross-border compliance
Company formation, tax and compliance on one platform, across three primary markets and six more jurisdictions. The hard part isn't any single rule — it's that the same feature has to satisfy rules that disagree with each other.
Pricing
I designed and piloted a new pricing model, then recommended reverting it when the market wouldn't adopt it. Pricing is where a product's assumptions about its own value get tested in public.
Product analytics
I own the analytics stack in Metabase and write my own SQL, which means I know how much each number is hiding before I put it in front of anyone.
Building it myself
Outside work I build and ship my own software with AI tools — most recently a production app I put live without writing a line of code. It keeps my estimates honest.
